Bookseller & Server ($15 base + tips)

Location: Epilogue – Natick, MA

Job Type: Full-Time/ Part-Time

Start Date: Mid-November, 2026

Epilogue is a new fiction bookstore and wine bar opening in early December 2026, designed to be Natick’s newest “third place,” a welcoming spot for people to socialize, linger, and foster community.

We are looking for passionate, community-minded individuals to join our opening team. As a Bookseller & Server, you will be the face of Epilogue, seamlessly transitioning between recommending a book and pouring a glass of wine. You will help create an environment where guests feel right at home, whether they are settling in for a solo reading session or catching up with friends. 

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers about books, offering personalized recommendations
• Maintain the sales floor (shelving, organizing, and merchandising displays).
• Prepare espresso drinks and coffee service.
• Guide guests through our wine, beer, cocktail and food selections.
• Prepare and serve our menu of charcuterie boards, tinned fish and light bites.
• Operate the POS system for both retail and cafe purchases.

• Maintain a clean, organized and inviting space.

   

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine love for books, wine, and creating memorable experiences for others.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a social, community-driven environment.
• Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or retail is highly preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
• TIPS certification preferred, though not required.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

   

Compensation

• $15.00/ hour base pay for all hours worked, plus tip pool participation during hours worked in a service capacity
• 30% discounts on all books, merchandise, and food menu items.

• Fully sponsored WSET Level 1 Certification for team members after one year of continuous employment.
