Medica's Sr. Sales Content Specialist is responsible for creating, organizing, maintaining, and continuously improving sales training and enablement content that supports internal sales teams and broker partners. This role serves as the primary owner of onboarding resources, knowledge management materials, Medicare certification content, broker training resources, and sales support documentation.
The ideal candidate enjoys developing content across multiple formats and bringing structure and governance to content management processes. This individual partners closely with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to ensure sales teams have access to accurate, accessible, and up-to-date resources that support performance, readiness, and operational consistency. Performs other duties assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Resource Library & Onboarding
  • Manage and maintain the sales resource library and onboarding materials.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of a centralized sales knowledge center and content repository.
  • Develop and update training guides, job aids, reference materials, SOPs, and process documentation.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify content needs and improve onboarding experiences.
  • Ensure content is organized, current, and easily accessible to users.
  • Establish content governance processes, including version control, review schedules, and content standards.
  • Continuously enhance onboarding resources to support new hire readiness and performance.
Medicare Certification Programs
  • Lead the development and annual maintenance of Medicare certification training.
  • Collaborate with compliance, product, and business teams to ensure content aligns with regulatory and business requirements.
  • Coordinate training updates, reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Communicate training requirements and updates to internal and external audiences.
  • Support LMS administration and user support as needed.
Broker Training & Content Development
  • Design and develop training programs and educational resources for broker partners.
  • Create content in a variety of formats, including eLearning modules, webinars, presentations, videos, job aids, and reference materials.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and business leaders to develop effective learning and communication solutions.
  • Support annual Medicare workshop materials and compliance-related training activities.
  • Ensure content reflects current products, regulations, and business priorities.
Sales Enablement Support
  • Support sales enablement initiatives, meetings, and special projects.
  • Consult with business partners to identify training, communication, and content needs.
  • Develop communications and resources that support sales team readiness and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve content organization, accessibility, and effectiveness across the sales organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in content development, instructional design, sales enablement, learning and development, knowledge management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare, health insurance, or Medicare experience.
  • Experience managing content repositories or knowledge management platforms such as SharePoint.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs, job aids, process documentation, and knowledge management resources.
  • Experience supporting sales organizations or sales enablement teams.
Skills & Abilities
  • Experience creating content for multiple learning and communication platforms.
  • Experience with virtual training platforms.
  • Strong content development, writing, editing, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, user-friendly content.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements and develop solutions.
  • Ability to independently manage projects and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with learning development tools such as Articulate Rise and Camtasia preferred.
  • Familiarity with LMS administration and support preferred.

This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week.

The full salary grade for this position is $62,700 - $107,500. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $62,700 - $94,080. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
