Position Summary
The Order Picker will be responsible for verifying and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing shipments, and performing a variety of inventory-related tasks. This position will support production by ensuring accurate inventory transactions, work order processing, and material movement.
Responsibilities
- Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare materials and shipments for production and customers.
- Kit work orders for production and release work orders for execution.
- Return materials to inventory when jobs are completed by reconciling work orders.
- Assist with cycle counting and physical inventory counts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
- Complete inventory transactions and adjustments as needed.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and assist with resolving issues.
- Support shipping, receiving, and inventory processes to maintain efficient operations.
- Support Manufacturing by maintaining accurate inventory transactions and adjustments.
- Identify and communicate shipping department constraints or process slowdowns to the supervisor.
- Help improve department organization, cross-training, cycle counting, and overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure priorities and on-time delivery (OTD) goals are met.
- Support effective customer communication by ensuring accurate and timely inventory and shipment information.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of shipping, receiving, and inventory experience required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
