PrideStaff is partnering with a certified zero‑waste wood products supplier in Prineville, OR to hire an entry-level technician who enjoys hands-on work, teamwork, and learning the ins and outs of wood materials. This is a long-term role with comprehensive benefits and a culture built on safety, collaboration, and professional growth.
A day in the lifeYou arrive to a clean, organized facility where sustainability and quality drive every decision. Your morning begins at the receiving dock—unloading incoming wood materials, checking counts, and staging items for processing. Midday, you’re picking and packing precise customer orders, inspecting pieces for quality, and labeling shipments to head out on time. In the afternoon, you help load trucks, reconcile inventory, and keep aisles clear and equipment tidy. Throughout, you communicate with supervisors and teammates so everyone stays aligned on inventory levels, order status, and any operational hiccups.
What you’ll handle- Receive, unload, and process inbound wood products and supplies
- Pick, pack, and prepare accurate customer orders for shipment
- Inspect lumber and wood goods; document and report defects
- Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently
- Maintain a spotless, safe warehouse; assist with general upkeep
- Count inventory and reconcile discrepancies regularly
- Follow PPE and all safety procedures; use proper lifting techniques
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and peers on inventory, orders, and issues
- Warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred (entry-level friendly)
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Familiarity with wood/lumber terminology is a plus
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and pride in order fulfillment
- Team-first communication style; reliable, punctual work ethic
- Comfort with basic math for counts and order processing
- Thrives in a fast-paced setting; adapts to shifting priorities
- Understands warehouse safety and OSHA guidelines
- Stamina to stand, walk, and handle repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Flexibility for occasional overtime or weekend shifts
Proficiency: Tape Measure Reading
