About the Role:
Northwoods Wholesale Outlet in Pinconning is looking for a driven Assistant Grocery Director to help lead our grocery operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role where you'll make a real impact on store performance, team development, and customer satisfaction. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Grocery Director in overseeing daily grocery department operations and performance
• Supervise, train, and develop grocery department staff to ensure productivity and service excellence
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate ordering, and manage stock replenishment
• Ensure proper merchandising, product placement, and shelf presentation standards are maintained
• Analyze sales data and department metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and compliance standards throughout the department
• Collaborate with vendors and wholesale suppliers to maintain strong product availability and pricing

Top Consideration for Applicants with: 

• 2+ years of experience in retail, wholesale, or a related food industry environment
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of grocery merchandising, inventory management, and ordering processes
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
• Ability to analyze sales reports and make data-driven decisions
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and compliance standards
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced wholesale retail environment
