About the Role:
Dr. Mae Sheikh Ali Endocrine Center in Jacksonville, FL is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our specialized healthcare team. Responsibilities:

• Provide individual therapy and counseling sessions to patients dealing with mental health concerns related to chronic illness and endocrine disorders
• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, endocrinologists, and medical staff to deliver integrated, whole-patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
• Offer crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed
• Support patients in developing coping strategies, stress management skills, and behavioral health goals
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations

Requirements:

• Active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in the state of Florida
• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field
• Experience providing individual therapy in a clinical or medical setting preferred
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or motivational interviewing
• Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary medical team
• Excellent communication, empathy, and patient-centered care skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
