Telecommunicator - Now Hiring

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Primarily responsible for directing the activities of field personnel and providing them with information upon which they may or must act. Provides rapid response to law enforcement or other emergency needs and protects fellow officers, staff, patients and visitors. Must be ready, able and willing at all times to take command of a situation if no other authority is available. Must be able to function under stressful conditions. Promotes the University Health System’s Guest Relations Policy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or its equivalent. Must meet TCLEOSE requirements for certification as a Police Telecommunications Operator. One year experience in emergency service dispatch or security related position preferred.
