Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist (Angiographer) requiring 1+ year of vascular/interventional experience and ARRT certification.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit
- 4x10 hour day shifts
- On-call required
- EPIC charting system used
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of vascular or interventional experience
- ARRT(R)(RT) certification accepted with Angiography experience, or ARRT(R)(VI) certification
- Vascular/Interventional radiography certification, or 1 year of Angio/Interventional experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS or PALS certification preferred
- HS diploma or GED required
- State Rad Tech license required if applicable
- Must provide own radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) if available from a previous employer, otherwise facility will issue one
- Ability to lift heavy items and assist with patient transfers
- Manual dexterity for operating delicate equipment and frequent computer use
- Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate crowded procedural rooms
Additional Information
- Prepare patients for exams using proper identification and body mechanics
- Select and perform appropriate exams and techniques based on patient needs
- Operate imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images
- Complete accurate documentation including time stamps and image storage
- Maintain work area and stock necessary supplies
- Transport patients as needed
- Apply closure devices, suture sheaths, or apply pressure for hemostasis at end of procedures
- Apply knowledge of x-ray generation and radiation safety principles
- Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures
- Serve as circulating, scrub, or monitoring technologist according to lab policies and scope of practice
- Returning Intermountain staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment
