Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift long-term assignment requiring ARRT certification and Washington State radiologic technologist registration in X-Ray and CT.
Details
- Work in the CT Scanning Services department
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hrs/week from 1900-0730
- 30 minute meal break included
- Will be required to take call
- Uses Shimadzu portable, Rad Speed Pro, GE/OEC C-arms, and Toshiba CT scanner equipment
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Current ARRT certification
- Washington State certification as a radiologic technologist, registered in X-Ray and CT (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with Shimadzu portable equipment
- Experience with Rad Speed Pro and GE/OEC C-arms in an OR setting
- Experience with Toshiba CT scanner
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Prepares for and performs all CT examinations while operating assigned equipment safely
- Evaluates diagnostic images for technical quality
- Develops, initiates, and monitors procedures for effective scanner utilization
- Maintains cleanliness of scanner and associated equipment per infection control policies
- Performs IV access using sterile technique and administers contrast media under physician supervision
- Follows universal blood and body substance precautions and PPE requirements
- Completes required documentation for each examination performed in the EMR
- Lifts and transfers patients using safe ergonomic technique and safe patient handling devices
- Communicates with patients' family members or caregivers as needed
