Position: Middle and High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher

The Islamic Tawheed Center of Detroit invites applications for a passionate High School English Language Arts Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Responsibilities

• Teach high school ELA courses including literature, writing, and language skills
• Promote analytical reading, writing proficiency, and communication skills
• Design engaging instruction aligned with academic standards
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Participate in school community and professional collaboration

Qualifications

• Required: Teaching experience at the high school level in English/ELA
• Preferred: Teaching certification or certification candidacy
• Strong instructional and communication skills
• Ability to inspire student engagement in literacy and critical thinking
