Farm Equipment Diesel Mechanic - Large Farming Operation

Job Description

• Diagnosing and Repairing Machinery: Troubleshoot and repair minor to major failures with electrical, hydraulic, diesel engine and attachment issues with tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, and other farm equipment.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure equipment stays in good working condition and avoid breakdowns.
• Test and adjust equipment components to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Work with other mechanics
• Work with newer technologies, such as GPS-guided systems, in modern farm machinery.
• Welding and fabricating as needed
  

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 3 or more years working on John Deere or Case IH farm equipment, balers, pickers, sprayers, spreaders etc.
• PREFERRED AA Diesel Technology or factory training and certifications from John Deere AG equipment
• Must have basic tools to perform in this role effectively
• Must maintain high efficiency and maintain safety protocol at all times
