Job Description

The ideal candidate is an early-career scientist or recent bachelor’s graduate who is curious, eager to learn, and interested in combining hands-on scientific experimentation with data analysis and predictive approaches. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline and may have 0–3 years of relevant experience, including internships, academic research, or laboratory experience.

The successful candidate does not need extensive industry experience, as the team will provide training on role-specific techniques and processes. Exposure to chromatography is preferred but not required. Candidates should have demonstrated experience with Python, R, or another programming language through academic coursework, research, projects, or other applied learning.

Strong communication skills, scientific problem-solving ability, learning agility, curiosity, ownership, and openness to feedback will be important for success. This opportunity is particularly well suited for someone looking to build experience at the intersection of laboratory science, data analysis, and predictive development within biologics.

As the candidate for this largely laboratory-based position, you will be responsible for driving cutting-edge analytical support and technology development impacting process and product development teams. You will work cross-functionally and across Process Development sites as you use analytical science to help drive efficient development and scalable understanding of processes and products. Strong theoretical understanding, research in, and hands-on experience in support of process development/scale up activities and formulation development in non-GMP environments. You will provide technical expertise in HPLC, Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), and related analytical methods, while also leveraging AI, automation, and digital collaboration platforms to accelerate science, reduce cycle times, and improve consistency across programs.

*Generate, analyse, and critically evaluate analytical data (LC, CE, mass spectrometry, and related methods) *Support analytical method optimization, method verification, troubleshooting method related issues *Provide technical leadership and identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual, repetitive tasks. *Actively contribute to process improvements, strategy development, and cross-functional partnerships that promote consistent and efficient practices across Pre-Pivotal Biologics *Increase utilization of AI tools and digital analytics platforms to improve efficiency and insight generation *Steward analytical deliverables with accuracy, compliance, and adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) * Demonstrate independence and ability to produce quality results under minimal direction * Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems and laboratory notebook * High energy individual who can multi-task and handle a fast-pace, dynamic work environment * Operate specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation * Perform general laboratory housekeeping activities * Complete training on assigned tasks * Comply with safety guidelines and site specific procedures which include but is not limited to, the maintenance of training records, laboratory documentation, written procedures, building monitoring systems and laboratory log books
