Job Overview

Shift

Monday-Friday 8 am- 4:30 pm


The operations quality specialist is responsible for liaising with operations to ensure a quality finished product that meets customer specifications. This is accomplished by conforming to all standards of the Land O' Lakes Quality Management System (LQMS).

  • Establish, supervise, administer, and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure that policies, procedures, specifications, HACCP, GMP's, BRC, and EQMS standards and regulatory requirements are consistently implemented.
  • Provide quality and food safety support to both quality and production departments.
  • Assist the management teams in the maintenance of quality systems
  • Product Safety Quality Event corrective action follow-up and monitoring
  • Prepare and document all audit documents and programs for the plant
  • Perform positive release
  • External warehouse inventory management
  • Complete HACCP record reviews related to Positive Release
  • Complete SharePoint updates
  • Assist with lab calibrations
  • Support the creation of quality trainings by the training specialist
  • Act as a backup to the Quality Supervisor to support lab technicians
  • Non-conforming & Downgrade Tracking for Cheese
  • Specification Deviation Management for Cheese
  • Provide input on whey powder specification updates
  • Manage customer samples for cheese
  • Document Control Program management (not record management)
  • Lot track and trace exercise coordination
  • Assist with Environmental Monitoring Program
  • Manage GMP audit program
  • Complete other duties as assigned

While working in the manufacturing areas, the incumbent is required to wear personal protective equipment.
