Spray Booth OperatorPay: $22.48/hour ($20.48 base pay + $2.00 shift differential) Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Thursday, 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m., with possible overtime on Fridays and Saturdays Penmac Staffing is hiring a Spray Booth Operator for a manufacturing client. This is a great opportunity for candidates with industrial painting, spray finishing, staining, or manufacturing experience. The Spray Booth Operator is responsible for safely applying finishes and coatings to interior and exterior wood products while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and production efficiency.Requirements for the Spray Booth Operator
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial or industrial paint, spray, stain, or finishing experience
  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Ability to wear a respirator and required PPE
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of wood finishing experience, preferably spray finishing
  • Knowledge of wood products and finishing processes
  • 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
Spray Booth Operator Responsibilities
  • Operate spray booth equipment to apply stains, paints, and finishes to wood products
  • Support production needs including customer orders, inventory, product samples, and prototypes
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Monitor spray booth operations and ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Work efficiently to meet production goals while maintaining quality workmanship
  • Promote a safe work environment for all employees and visitors
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stand and walk throughout the shift
  • Frequently use hands, arms, and vision for detailed finishing work
  • Frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed
  • Ability to distinguish colors and identify finish quality issues
Work EnvironmentThis Spray Booth Operator position works in a manufacturing facility and may be exposed to varying temperatures, dust, loud noise, and production equipment. Required PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe footwear, respirators, and other department-specific safety equipment.
