Shop Technician – Sheet Metal Manufacturing

Location: Bonners Ferry

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Overtime possible during peak season)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Shop Technician to join our sheet metal

manufacturing team. This role is responsible for assisting with the production of high-quality

metal components and building materials using specialized equipment and machinery.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn multiple machines and

manufacturing processes within the shop.

Key Responsibilities

● Operate sheet metal manufacturing equipment such as slitters, rollformers, folders, and

shears to produce metal roofing, siding and associated trim components

● Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment

● Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning

● Inspect finished products to ensure product meets Ibex quality standards

● Assist with loading/unloading materials and finished products

● Follow production schedules and meet daily production goals

● Work collaboratively with shop leadership and team members

● Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures

● Daily display Ibex Core Values

What We’re Looking For:

● Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn shop equipment

● Ability to read a tape measure accurately

● Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet throughout the day

● Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

● Ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment

● Forklift experience is a plus but not required

● Previous manufacturing or roofing experience a plus but not required
