DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the Mine Subsidence Insurance (MSI) Program by assisting with application processing, claims, digital records, and data analysis. The role helps ensure that program operations move smoothly and that staff and homeowners receive accurate information. As a Management Technician, you will perform the following duties:
- Application Review: Review MSI applications, verify information, and determine when inspections are needed
- Data Verification: Check maps, online resources, and internal systems to confirm mining conditions and property details
- Claim Processing: Handle new claims, prepare files, and organize documents for management review
- Database Support: Run reports, maintain databases, and provide guidance to staff on technical tools
- Public Assistance: Help homeowners and insurance producers with website navigation and troubleshoot issues
- Digital Conversion: Oversee the transition of structure and project files to digital formats

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Occasional overnight travel to training or other offices might be required with this position.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Coal Center. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,827.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.
