Job Description
Make an impact by supporting students’ growth and independence as a school-based Occupational Therapist on a contract basis. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to facilitate the success of children in achieving academic and developmental milestones. Using a blend of in-person and teletherapy modalities, you’ll be instrumental in providing creative, evidence-based interventions tailored to each student’s unique needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Occupational Therapist license for Delaware
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric, school-based, or teletherapy settings
- Ability to develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and goal-writing in educational environments
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both in-person and via teletherapy as needed
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to support students’ IEP goals
- Assess students’ needs and progress, recommending adaptive strategies and accommodations
- Document sessions and maintain compliance with all state and federal requirements
- Offer training and guidance to school staff regarding tools and techniques to support students
- Participate in meetings and offer professional insights for student care planning
