School Psychologist – PreK-22
Location: Wilmington, DE Area
Pay: $52.44–$64.78 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week
Dates: August 31, 2026 – June 11, 2027
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support students with complex educational, behavioral, and medical needs in a specialized school setting. This position serves students from PreK through age 22 and offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule, with two days virtual and three days in person.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting students with significant cognitive disabilities and medically fragile needs while collaborating closely with teachers, families, and other school-based professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide school-based psychological services to students with complex needs
- Provide individual and/or group counseling support
- Address behavioral needs and assist with behavior intervention strategies
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related-service providers, and families
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Support students' social-emotional and behavioral development
- Provide recommendations and interventions based on individual student needs
- Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral support when appropriate
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
Qualifications
- Master's or specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Appropriate Delaware School Psychologist credentials/licensure
- Experience working with students with significant cognitive disabilities and/or complex needs preferred
- Experience providing both counseling and behavioral support preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a specialized school environment
