Job Description

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for early childhood
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Experience teaching or supporting young children with diverse learning needs, including those with IEPs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team of educators, specialists, and families
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and adaptive teaching methods
- Commitment to promoting an inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individualized instructional programs to meet the needs of young children with special needs
- Deliver engaging lessons tailored to each student’s unique learning style and ability
- Develop and maintain detailed records, including IEPs and ongoing progress monitoring
- Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other special education staff to enhance student outcomes
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student learning and growth
- Foster a positive, nurturing classroom climate that encourages social, emotional, and academic development
