Step into a vital role supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral well-being as a School Psychologist on a contract basis in the Denver area. This assignment offers the chance to provide critical leave coverage, with several flexible options available to match your expertise and interests. Assignments will involve direct engagement with K-8 students in a variety of school settings and may vary in location and duration based on coverage needs.

What we’re seeking:

  • Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
  • Valid Special Service Provider License (CDE endorsement in School Psychology)
  • Previous experience in a school environment required
  • Proven ability to administer and interpret cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral assessments
  • Expertise in developing and implementing IEPs, including progress monitoring, service documentation, and goal-writing
  • Advanced skills in crisis management, including conducting risk assessments and supporting safety plans
  • Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and consultative abilities
  • Commitment to educational equity and cultural responsiveness
  • Skilled in using educational technology and documentation platforms
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and remain calm in crisis scenarios

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct mental health services, group/individual counseling, and psychoeducation to students
  • Lead collaborative meetings and provide professional development to school staff
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Support general and special education teams through consultation, crisis intervention, and resource coordination
  • Participate in team meetings, professional learning communities, and wellness visits
  • Ensure timely and thorough documentation of services and assessments
  • Liaise with families, external providers, and community resources to enhance student support
