Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Interim Accounting Manager to support a Dallas, Texas organization in a Long-term Contract role. This position will provide hands-on accounting leadership during a leave coverage period, with responsibility for maintaining accurate financial operations across multiple entities. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in NetSuite, U.S. accounting practices, and month-end processes, along with the ability to deliver reliable reporting for leadership review.
Responsibilities - Interim Accounting Manager - Contract Only
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities across multiple entities to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and consistently.
• Examine accounts payable invoices for appropriate general ledger classification and authorize processing in line with accounting standards.
• Prepare and enter journal entries in NetSuite while maintaining complete and accurate supporting documentation.
• Contribute to the month-end close cycle by coordinating deadlines, reviewing balances, and resolving discrepancies.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Manage intercompany billing activity and reconcile intercompany accounts to support accurate consolidated reporting.
• Compile monthly financial statements and related schedules for presentation to senior management.
• Record payroll- and benefits-related accounting entries and support the tracking of employee benefit expenses.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior success in an Accounting Manager-level role.• Hands-on NetSuite experience is required.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
• Experience supporting multi-entity environments and maintaining multiple sets of books.
• Demonstrated background in month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Knowledge of accounts payable workflows, billing processes, and intercompany accounting.
• Ability to prepare monthly financial reporting and communicate results clearly to leadership.
• Experience accounting for payroll, fringe benefits, and related general ledger entries.
