Civil Designer

We are seeking a Civil Designer to support the development, design, and construction of facility-related projects from concept through construction. This role will be responsible for preparing plans and specifications for commercial and industrial site developments, parking lot rehabilitation projects, storm sewer systems, watermains, and sanitary sewer systems. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, possesses strong communication skills, and is comfortable taking a leadership role as part of a project team. The position will involve working closely with engineers, designers, and clients to deliver high-quality civil engineering design solutions.

• Prepare plans and specifications for commercial and industrial site developments.
• Design parking lot rehabilitation projects and storm sewer systems.
• Develop watermains and sanitary sewer systems.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and clients.
• Take a leadership role in project teams.
• Deliver high-quality civil engineering design solutions.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• 5+ years of civil design experience with increasing project responsibility.
• Experience supporting commercial and industrial site design projects.
• Knowledge of site development, grading, storm sewer, watermain, sanitary sewer, and parking lot rehabilitation projects.
• Ability to work independently and take a leadership role within project teams.

• High school diploma required; civil engineering degree not required.
• Demonstrated understanding of basic civil engineering concepts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Training available for candidates with strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience but limited exposure to Revit.

The main headquarters is located in Saginaw with satellite offices in Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Traverse City. The work environment is collaborative, with multiple disciplines working on projects together. There is potential for a hybrid work setup after initial vetting, allowing for 2 days remote and 3 days on-site. The projects cover a wide range, including commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, municipal, and worship projects, ensuring a diverse and rejuvenating work experience. The projects include a mix of new builds and renovations, and most disciplines, including Architecture, M.E.P, Structural, and Civil, are handled in-house.

This is a Permanent position based out of Saginaw, MI.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Will be provided to the candidate upon receiving an offer.

This is a hybrid position in Saginaw,MI.

This position is anticipated to close on Sep 1, 2026.
