Job Summary:                                          

\n

We are looking for dedicated Inpatient Pediatric (Med Surg) RNs in Chinle, AZ with excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, and team player attitude. This provider will be responsible for caring for patients, communicating with other medical team members and maintaining accurate medical records.

\n

Duties: 

\n
    \n
  • Provide comprehensive pediatric medical-surgical nursing care, utilizing the nursing process to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • \n
  • Assess, monitor, and manage pediatric patients, recognizing changes in condition, complications, and medication effects and implementing appropriate interventions.
  • \n
  • Administer medications and treatments safely while evaluating patient responses, side effects, and potential complications.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team and communicate effectively with pediatric patients and their families to support quality patient care.
  • \n
  • Perform and document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) and follow applicable clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • \n
  • Provide clinical guidance to other nursing staff and assist with unit quality and safety initiatives as assigned.
  • \n
  • Perform inter-facility patient transports and other duties within the scope of pediatric nursing practice.
  • \n
  • When assigned as team lead, coordinate patient assignments based on acuity and oversee required unit checks, including controlled-substance inventory and documentation.
  • \n

Job Requirements:

\n
    \n
  • Current and unrestricted RN License – Any state license accepted
  • \n
  • Minimum 3 years RN experience; 1 year experience in specialty
  • \n
  • BLS – American Heart Association Required
  • \n
  • PALS – American Heart Association Required 
  • \n
\n
