Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN with at least 1 year of travel nursing experience and an active Ohio or Compact RN license for a night shift assignment.

Details\n

\n
• Work in the ICU of a community hospital setting
\n
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
\n
• Every other weekend (EOW) work required
\n
• Float required within skillset as needed
\n
• Float required to Galion and Ontario campuses to help maintain hours if census drops
\n
• On-call required as needed, with a 1-hour return-to-facility expectation when called in
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) required at time of submission, pending licenses not accepted
\n
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
\n
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required, 2 years preferred
\n
• 2 years of recent, continuous ICU experience required
\n
• Epic charting experience preferred
\n
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, management of dysrhythmias, IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line care
\n
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
\n
• Experience with respiratory/thoracic care, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, and ETT/NT suctioning
\n
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Provide critical care nursing services to ICU patients including cardiac monitoring, respiratory support, and medication management
\n
• Must be willing to float to all three campuses (Bucyrus, Galion, and Ontario) as needed
\n
• No holiday RTO accepted and no blocked schedules permitted
\n
• Any missed shifts must be made up, and if scheduled to work during requested RTO, traveler must arrange their own coverage
\n
• Facility is smoke-free across all campuses
\n
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
\n
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before being eligible for this position
\n
• Hiring manager will conduct a phone interview prior to placement
