• Weekly Hours: 36 hours/week
\n
• Shift: 12-hour shifts – 6:45 AM–7:15 PM / 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
\n
• Experience: 2+ years specialty experience required
\n
• Travel Experience: 1 completed travel assignment required
\n
• Facility Experience: Must have experience in a larger, high-acuity, fast-paced hospital; no Critical Access Hospital experience alone
\n
• Unit: 14 beds
\n
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 days & nights
\n
• Required Certifications: BLS & NIHSS
\n
• Preferred: ACLS
\n
• Patient Population: Diabetic patients, CHF, COPD, GI bleeds, renal failure, dialysis, post-surgical overflow, amputations, wound care, DVTs, ETOH and psych
\n
• Drips/Medications: Lasix, Bumex, Heparin
\n
• Telemetry: Monitored remotely; RNs do not need to interpret strips
\n
• Respiratory: CPAP; BiPAP primarily at night
\n
• Weekend: Every other weekend
\n
• Floating: May float to acute care/cardio units or areas caring for acute-care holds
\n
• Orientation: 3 days
\n
• Scrubs: Caribbean Blue, or White top with Caribbean Blue bottoms, or all White
\n
