Endovascular Neurointerventional Surgeon
\nMercy Health Physicians Youngstown (MHP-Y) is seeking board-certified/board-eligible Endovascular Neurointerventional Surgeon to join our growing team. A new state of the art 16 bed Neuro ICU opened in 2026 and includes an expanded patient care area supporting craniotomies, neurointerventional work and complex strokes. As a regional referral center, the nearest hospitals with this type of unit are in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Akron.
\nThe physician will join our established and growing neuro endovascular program. Our progressive Neuroscience Institute includes 2 employed neurosurgeons, 2 employed neuro interventionalists, and employed neurology team. Scheduling is 7 days on 7 days off.
\nSt. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is a Level 1- Trauma Center, with Primary Stroke Plus and Thrombectomy capable designation with 350+ inpatient beds. The Neuroscience Institute offers a biplane angiography suite, O-arm equipped surgical suite, and dedicated specialty units including neurocritical, surgical intensive, neuro-spine and stroke. Two additional new Primary Stroke Centers are in the market for our facilities creating a hub and spoke stroke program.
\nThe physician will provide high quality and personalized care for neuro endovascular and high acuity neuro ICU patients collaborating with a growth-minded group to serve the community. Our team provides best practices and outcomes in neuroscience specialties. Experience is preferred but not required. The physician must have completed a UCNS or ACGME accredited board certification in interventional neurology.
