American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring CT/compact RN license, community hospital experience, and critical care skills including Swan-Ganz monitoring.

  • Night shift, 3x12 hours from 19:00-07:30
  • \n
  • 36-hour schedules accepted
  • \n
  • Every other weekend coverage required
  • \n
  • Float required to Med-Surg/Tele and Tele units within scope of practice
  • \n
  • Uses Accudose medication system
  • \n
  • Documents in Cerner EMR
  • \n
  • Uses SBAR communication system
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active RN license (CT or Compact) currently in hand
  • \n
  • Current certifications: ACLS and BLS
  • \n
  • CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications preferred
  • \n
  • Minimum 2-3 years of ICU experience required
  • \n
  • Community hospital experience required
  • \n
  • Cerner charting experience preferred
  • \n
  • Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • \n
  • Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring required
  • \n
  • Central line care and management experience required
  • \n
  • Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs
  • \n
  • Experience caring for ventilated patients and ventilator management required
  • \n
  • Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Provide critical care nursing to adult ICU patients including cardiovascular and respiratory/thoracic cases
  • \n
  • Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring and emergency response
  • \n
  • Adherence to infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE protocols required
  • \n
  • Blue scrubs required
  • \n
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

  • Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and may be offered a reduced rate
