Job Description:

\tOur MRO Jacksonville facility is seeking Aviation Maintenance Technicians that are motivated to support a greater cause in directly impacting military warfighter readiness by providing critical maintenance repairs and modifications for our military customers. \tBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
\t3+ years of Aircraft Mechanic (Experience in either commercial or defense or relevant trade apprenticeship would be considered)
\t3+ years experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications
\tAbility to close tolerance drill within .003 & Ability to precision measure within .003
\tComputer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite

Primary Responsibilities:

\tRepair overhaul structures for F18- EF Flight Controls
\tIdentify if a fastener is a rivet, blind rivet, screw, hi-lock, bolt or lock bolt
\tRead and interpret blueprints, process data sheets & maintenance instruction manuals
\tDemonstrate knowledge of cleaning, corrosion prevention and control, polish or dry wash tasks
\tKnowledge of common fastener sizes and correct cutting tools for removal and installation processes
\tRemove and reinstall access panels and fairings. Remove damaged screws without damaging surrounding structure
\tAbility to safety wire and install cotter pins
\tAbility to apply aircraft finishes (primer and paint), Alodine, and sealants
\tAbility to close tolerance drill within .001 & Ability to precision measure within .0005 in metallic and composite structures.
\tPerform structural repairs and modifications on strike fighters, commercial derivative aircraft, and flight control components
\tUtilize measuring tools such as micrometer, dial caliper, grip gauges, feeler gauge, depth gauge, trimic, and bore gages
\tFabricate, locate, trim, drill/ream, and assemble metallic and composite components. Makes major/minor modification to aircraft skins and other structural components. Installs rivets, blind fasteners, hiloks, etc in metallic and composite structures.
\tAbility to properly utilize Assembly Jigs (AJ), Repair Equipment (RE), and other similar fixed tooling to locate parts, trim, shim, final drill, debur, and build components to meet Blueprint requirements
\tEnsure aircraft technical log book, maintenance documentation, work packages and zonal handovers are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales in conjunction with the program leads and managers
\tKnowledge/ability to read and comprehend Airworthiness Directives, Technical Directives and Service Bulletins to effective aircraft
\tHighlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the program lead and manager
\tGeneral Responsibilities:

\tHave ability to lift and utilize tools, materials, equipment and components in a manufacturing environment, within the Client lifting standards (max 35 lb per person, 45 lb for 2 person)
\tPerform detailed tool inventories daily
\tCommunicate using basic computer systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office as needed to complete essential job requirements
\tContribute positively to our open and honest reporting culture
\tReport all incidents and occurrences in the Client Safety Management System
\tEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures
\tMaintain a high standard of organization and cleanliness within assigned work areas, “Clean as You Go”
\tContribute to continuous improvement initiatives
\tBe flexible to ensure aircraft are delivered on time to customer
\tPerform other duties as directed by management for the benefit of the company, program or employee(s)
\tAssociate Level; Can perform the above tasks with little or general supervision
\tExperienced Level; Can perform the above tasks with no supervision and can assist others
\tEducation / Experience:
\tHigh school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
\tPosition Comments:
\tShifts: 1st shift 6:00 am – 2:30 pm. Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift per business need.
\tOnsite/remote/hybrid: 100% onsite in Jacksonville, Fl
