Job Description:

\tClient is seeking an Experienced Payloads Design Engineers to support the Washington Interiors Team.
\tPayloads is seeking candidates with experience in the following areas:
\tExperience with engineering processes and tools; including CSDT, CATIA, ENOVIA, PDM, and associated release processes.
\tExperience with aircraft cabin and cargo engineering products and designs
\tExperience with engineering support within a production system
\tExperience with direct engagement working with/for aerospace suppliers or airlines
\tExperience supporting the validation of compliance to regulatory requirements
\tExperience working with regulators
\tExperience with Design for manufacturing
\tExperience with Aircraft cargo compartment and handling system design, integration, and/or certification
\tExperience working in a cross-functional team.

Position Responsibilities:

\tAssists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
\tDevelops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
\tPerforms tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
\tAssists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
\tSupports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
\tWorks under general supervision.

Education:

\tBachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences). 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

\tBasic understanding and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent.
\tExperience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes – Client experience is a plus
\t2+ years of experience in program or project management, leading project and/or program proposals of varying complexity (including: development and execution of schedule milestones, financial assessments, resource assessments, risk and/or issues management, etc.).
\tDemonstrates good problem solving skills and critical thinking
\tAbility to use a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas to a variety of audiences
\tEducation / Experience:
\tBachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences). 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Position Comments:

\tShifts: 1st shift 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
\tOnsite/remote/hybrid: 100% onsite in Everett, WA
