As a Director of Nursing (DON) at Axiom Gardens of Nashville, you will play a critical role in leading our dedicated team of nursing professionals to deliver exceptional care to our residents. About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Nursing with a passion for leadership and a commitment to excellence in long-term care. As a DON, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing department, ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care and services. You will work closely with our administrative team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that promote quality care, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Leads and manages the nursing team, including staff development, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Develops and implements care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
Collaborates with other departments, including marketing, activities, and dietary, to ensure a cohesive and resident-centered approach to care
Maintains accurate records and reports, including medication administration records, incident reports, and infectioncontrol logs
Participates in Quality Improvement initiatives and may lead special projects or committees as needed
Fosters a positive and supportive work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork among staff members
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
Current Illinois RN licensure
Minimum of 5 years of experience in long-term care or related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
Proficiency in electronic medical records and other healthcare software
