Position: Interim Director of Nursing (DON)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (with option to extend)
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: Competitive weekly compensation based on experience, including housing, meal, and travel stipends for qualified travelers

What We're Looking For:
Experienced and confident nursing leader.
Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey readiness.
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to quickly assess operations, build relationships, and lead clinical teams.
Flexible, adaptable professional who thrives in fast-paced environments.
Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment (or ability to obtain).
Associate or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required.
Minimum of five years of long-term care or acute care nursing experience preferred.
At least two years of Director of Nursing or nursing leadership experience strongly preferred.
Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulations governing Skilled Nursing Facilities.
Ability to travel and quickly adapt to new facilities and teams.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide 24-hour leadership and oversight of the Nursing Department while ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care.
Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to promote a positive culture focused on clinical excellence.
Oversee resident care planning to ensure compliance with physician orders, facility policies, and regulatory standards.
Monitor quality measures, infection prevention, staffing, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Assist facilities with survey preparation, plans of correction, and performance improvement initiatives.
Participate in admissions decisions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes.
Lead daily clinical operations, staffing, scheduling, and quality improvement efforts.
Serve as the facility's clinical leader and assume responsibility for facility operations in the absence of the Administrator, when appropriate.
