Production Supervisor 2nd shift

We are seeking an experienced and motivated 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead production operations in our injection molding facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on technical experience in plastic injection molding, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for overseeing production personnel, meeting production goals, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and ensuring the efficient operation of equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and supervise daily activities on assigned production lines.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, corporate safety standards, and all company policies.
• Operate production equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts, as needed.
• Train and mentor team members on equipment operation, production processes, and workplace safety procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery, equipment, and work areas to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Partner with maintenance personnel to troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize production downtime.
• Ensure quality products are produced according to customer specifications and Quality Assurance requirements.
• Meet or exceed production schedules established by Production Control while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
• Communicate production deviations, equipment issues, and scheduling concerns to the Production Planner and Plant Manager.
• Maintain accuracy and completeness of all production records, reports, and documentation.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the production team.
• Facilitate effective shift-to-shift communication through production floor walkthroughs and Work Center Log documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with Quality, Maintenance, Production Control, and other departments to achieve operational goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Plastic Injection Molding experience.
• Minimum 3 years of Mold Technician experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience working in an injection molding operation, preferably in a leadership role.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Experience with IQMS Manufacturing ERP software.
• Previous experience in assembly line, factory, or high-volume production environments.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance, production processes, and quality control procedures.

Benefits
