Sparta Community Hospital | Sparta, Illinois
Sparta Community Hospital is seeking an experienced LPN or RN with Epic EHR experience to join our Information Technology Department as a HIT Technician/Clinical Informaticist. This unique role combines clinical expertise, healthcare operations, information technology, end-user education, and system optimization to support our continued growth and transition to Epic.
This position is ideal for a clinically experienced nurse who enjoys problem solving, process improvement, technology, education, and helping clinical teams maximize the benefits of electronic health record systems.
The HIT Technician/Clinical Informaticist serves as the primary clinical resource and support specialist for Epic users throughout the organization. This individual will provide workflow analysis, end-user support, training, optimization recommendations, and project support for hospital and clinic operations. The position partners closely with providers, nursing staff, ancillary departments, leadership, and Epic stakeholders to improve system utilization and promote adoption of best practices.
Required
- Current Illinois LPN or RN license in good standing.
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical healthcare experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of Epic end-user experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred
- Epic certification or demonstrated advanced Epic proficiency.
- Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, training, or optimization initiatives.
- Experience in critical access hospitals and rural healthcare clinics
- Experience with change management and end-user adoption strategies
