The Shipping Office Clerk is responsible for coordinating all packing functions relating to parcel movement out of the warehouse, maintaining prescribed service levels and quality assurance while keeping costs at a minimum, to ensure meeting departmental, company, and customer objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Interacts with employees, other department leads, and all Supervisors to ensure utilization and performance levels are met
- Interact with customer service
- Tracking and billing of warehouse miscellaneous activities
- PO Entry
- Routing guide ownership
- Outbound order reconciliation
- Ensure sufficient amounts of inventory supplies are purchased and maintained
- Maintains and reports all OF cost per line metrics
Required Skills
- A comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations is necessary
- Must be PC literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be a strong team player with a firm, personal commitment toward the business and its customers
- Must value diversity and exhibit a leadership style that empowers, coaches, mentors, and fosters a cohesive team environment
Required Experience
- High School Degree or GED a minimum
- Five years of similar experience
