Job Description
Job Title: Intern – Developer
Status: Non-Exempt Hours/week: 15-20
Reports to: Lead Developer
General Summary of Position
Developer intern will join our development team and will be working with our developers to design and develop high-quality internal applications. The developer's responsibilities include researching UI and UX trends, updating current applications, and working with colleagues to brainstorm innovative ideas for new applications.
The duration of the Spring Internship Program is 8 weeks in length. Hurley & Associates is supportive of receiving credit hours for the internship. Interns are paid a competitive weekly salary.
Responsibilities
- Implement testing procedures to identify bugs
- Engage with users to better understand needs and opportunities for improvements
- Develop sections of current web applications
- Uphold and exemplify Hurley’s mission and vision statements
- Represent Hurley & Associates with integrity and professionalism
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Familiarity with code versioning tools, like GIT
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio Code / Visual Studio Professional
- Familiarity of Object-Oriented Programming Language C# preferred
- Familiarity of SQL
- Familiarity with Azure or other Cloud technologies
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks
- Good interpersonal skills
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Completed 3 semesters of a Bachelor’s Degree in related field
