Job Summary:
Avir at Texarkana is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Activity Director (LTC/SNF) to join our team in Texarkana, Texas. Responsibilities:
Design, plan, and implement activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents, including those with dementia, Alzheimer's, and other cognitive impairments
Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and welcoming environment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized activity plans that align with resident goals and preferences
Monitor and record resident participation, progress, and feedback to inform activity program development and enhancements
Maintain accurate records and reports, including activity logs, participation reports, and resident assessments
Recruit, supervise, and train volunteer staff to support activity programs
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence

Required Qualifications:
Certified Activity Director (LTC/SNF) certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire date
Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field
2+ years of experience in activity direction, recreation therapy, or related field
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends
