About the Role:

As a Weekend Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for:

• Leadership Responsibilities: Supervising and coordinating the activities of the nursing staff, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that the nursing unit is running smoothly and efficiently.
• Patient-Centered Care: Assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and providing direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and educating patients and families.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and other support staff, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care and that the nursing unit is functioning effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and Coordinate Nursing Staff: Supervising and coordinating the activities of the nursing staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and feedback, and addressing any performance issues.
• Assess Patient Needs: Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
• Develop Individualized Care Plans: Developing individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient.
• Provide Direct Patient Care: Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and educating patients and families.
• Monitor Patient Progress: Monitoring patient progress, identifying any changes or concerns, and adjusting care plans as needed.

Requirements:

• Education: LVN or RN degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Experience: Minimum of 0 years of experience as a Charge Nurse or similar role.
• Certifications: Current LVN or RN license in the state of Texas.
