About the Role:

The Delivery Driver position in Waveland plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food and related products to customers within the accommodation and food services industry. This role requires a dependable individual who can manage routes efficiently, maintain excellent customer service, and handle products with care to uphold company standards. The driver will be responsible for representing the company professionally while interacting with customers and ensuring their satisfaction. Additionally, the role involves maintaining the delivery vehicle in good condition and adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Ultimately, the Delivery Driver contributes directly to the company’s reputation and operational success by providing reliable and courteous delivery services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean (enough) driving record.
• Ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Basic knowledge of local roads and neighborhoods in Waveland and surrounding areas.
• Ability to lift and carry packages up to 30 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in the food service industry.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route optimization software.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Possession of a smartphone for communication and navigation purposes.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport food orders from the restaurant to customers’ locations in a timely manner.
• Verify order contents before departure to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliveries.
• Maintain clear communication with management regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the route.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers politely, handling inquiries, and resolving minor delivery concerns professionally.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and efficient delivery operations.
• Handle cash or electronic payments securely when required and provide accurate change or receipts.

Skills:

The required skills, such as safe driving, route planning, and customer interaction, are essential for daily delivery operations, ensuring orders reach customers promptly and in excellent condition. Effective communication skills help in coordinating with dispatch and addressing customer needs or concerns during deliveries. Preferred skills like familiarity with GPS technology and prior delivery experience enhance efficiency and reduce delivery times. Strong customer service skills contribute to positive customer experiences, fostering repeat business and enhancing the company’s reputation.
