Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time: Four 10-hour weekdays
- Some holidays required
- $25 $35/hour, based on experience and licensure
- Potential sign-on bonus based on experience and licensure
What You ll Do
As an Oncology Veterinary Technician Assistant, you ll support patients throughout their cancer care journey while working closely with our oncology team. Responsibilities include:
- Assist with medications and chemotherapy under oncologist supervision
- Support laboratory work, imaging, CT, and other diagnostics
- Assist with oncology appointments, patient flow, and scheduling
- Support our radioactive I-131 program for hyperthyroid cats
- Maintain accurate medical records, treatment notes, and drug logs
- Communicate with and educate clients compassionately
- Collaborate with Internal Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, and other specialty teams
- Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care
What We re Looking For
- Previous veterinary clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Confidence handling and restraining patients
- EzyVet, SmartFlow, or similar software experience is a plus
- Comfortable working in full PPE during chemotherapy treatments
- Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced specialty environment
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and assist with larger patients
