Delivery Driver

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a reliable and service-minded Delivery Driver to join their team. This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent morning work without the commitment of a full-time schedule. The driver will provide pickup and delivery services while building positive, ongoing relationships with residential and commercial customers.

 

Pay Rate  
$18-$20hr

 

Schedule and Hours  

• Work 4 days per week (Monday - Tuesday, Thursday – Friday)
• Start 7:30 a.m.
• Finish approximately  12:00 p.m. 
• Must be available to work rain or shine

 

Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities 

• Pick up and deliver dry cleaning and laundry
• Handle occasional bulky but manageable items, including bedspreads, tablecloths, window treatments, and formal gowns
• Handle bags weighing approximately 25–30 lbs.
• Build and maintain ongoing relationships with residential and commercial customers
• Navigate the Over the Mountain area efficiently
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers
• Work independently while providing dependable customer service

 

Delivery Driver Qualifications and Requirements 

• Must pass drug test 

• Must pass background check 

• Good driving record

• Strong work ethic and personal integrity 
• Comfortable driving throughout Homewood, Mountain Brook, Vestavia Hills, and surrounding areas
• Good physical condition and ability to perform light-to-moderate lifting
• Comfortable handling bulky items
• Reliable and dependable
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Military, public safety, or other service-oriented backgrounds are a plus
