Job Description

Immediately hiring a Safety Specialist to champion safety and environmental health standards across our manufacturing operations. Position is located on the south side of San Antonio.

Pay is up to $20/hour

Schedule Mon - Fri 6am-6pm

Duties:

Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are followed daily
Support investigation when incidents occur and Cority reporting of all incidents.
Complete and maintain all safety reports: OSHA LOGS, KPI’s, OHSMS and others weekly.
Provide safety training and new hire orientation to forklift operators and recertification as required.
Investigate incidents, propose counter measures, and verify results.
Lead monthly safety committee and small group meetings.
Communicate and schedule weekly safety meetings with management and review safety concerns.
Document and compile safety data trends for injuries, incidents, and all processes for evaluations.
Work closely with Senior Safety Manager and Corporate Safety group to follow OHSMS and implement elements into all daily processes and programs.
Position will be divided between production floor and office.

Requirements:

Seeking at least 1 year experience in a safety role.
High school diploma or GED required.
Forklift Certified Preferred. Forklift knowledge required.
Must be able to use computers, scanners, and related equipment.
