Position: Accounting & Audit Domain Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $60–$100/hour
Location: Hybrid, Bay Area, California
Commitment: 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate the quality of accounting and audit knowledge work tasks and model outputs. Identify missing behaviors, thin reasoning, and misapplied standards.
• Write high-quality instruction specs and produce golden solutions to accounting and audit problems. Define tasks that reflect practical work.
• Design challenging accounting and audit tasks and evaluation sets. Build domain-specific skills and tools with the research team.
• Collaborate with client researchers and specialists to maintain consistent standards. Translate tacit accounting judgment into explicit criteria.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• An active professional credential, such as CPA, CA, CIA, CFE, or CMA.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or a related field.
• 4+ years of substantive accounting or audit experience at a recognized institution.
• Specialization in areas like external audit, technical accounting, internal audit, tax, forensic accounting, or revenue recognition.
• Progression to a senior level, such as Audit Manager, Senior Manager, or Director of Accounting.
• Hands-on experience with large language models in professional work.
• Excellent written communication skills.
