Automotive Title Clerk - San Antonio, TX

Title Clerk — Franchised Dealership | San Antonio, TX

**$27/hour + benefits | Full-time, in-office**

We're a high-volume franchised dealership in San Antonio moving 200+ units a month, and we need a Title Clerk who can keep that paperwork moving without letting anything age out.

This is a role for someone who takes real satisfaction in a clean aged-title report. If you know what a stack of contracts in transit does to a dealership's cash flow — and you know how to make that stack disappear — we want to talk to you.

## What you'll be doing

- Processing title and registration work for new and used vehicle sales through webDEALER and the Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector's office

- Submitting title applications inside Texas's required timeframes (20 business days on retail deals) and staying ahead of the deadline, not chasing it

- Verifying lien payoffs, tracking incoming titles from lienholders, and perfecting liens for the selling dealer

- Handling out-of-state titles, dealer trades, wholesale transactions, and duplicate/bonded title situations

- Issuing and reconciling buyer tags/eTAGs and keeping the account current

- Managing the contracts-in-transit and aged-title reports, and reporting status to the Controller and Sales Management weekly

- Working directly with F&I to correct deal paperwork before it becomes a problem — not after

- Maintaining title files and records in compliance with TxDMV and manufacturer requirements

## What you need to bring

- Prior dealership title clerk experience (Texas title work strongly preferred)

- Working knowledge of TxDMV, webDEALER, and RTS

- Experience with a dealership DMS — CDK, Reynolds, Dealertrack, or Tekion

- Genuine attention to detail. In this job, a transposed VIN is a real problem

- The organizational discipline to run a high-volume desk without letting work sit

- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, not a requirement
