Recreation Therapist – WCMC Inpatient Occupational Therapy – Part Time – 8 Hours – Days – Temporary (Not To Exceed 2 Years) - Now Hiring

Job Description:Recreational therapists, under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, are assigned to evaluate and treat patients to achieve maximum level of leisure independence. Patients seen have a variety of limitations and the therapists use their skills to assist patients to their full rehabilitation potential.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Recreational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or equivalent - Required

Certifications/Licensures:

• NCTRC - National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification or
• CBRPC - California Board of Recreation and Park - Required
• CTRS - Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) - Preferred
• BLS - Basic Life Support - Certification Required

This position is funded for a period of up to two years from the incumbent’s date of hire and is eligible for benefits.
