Senior Helpers Maine LLC is seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide quality in-home care and support to our clients. Our Home Health Aides assist clients with their daily needs while promoting safety, comfort, dignity, and independence in their homes.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Personal Care

  • Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • Provide toileting and incontinence care.
  • Assist with mobility, walking, positioning, and transfers.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Provide medication reminders as directed by the client’s plan of care.
  • Observe and report changes in the client’s condition.

Companionship

  • Provide friendly and meaningful companionship.
  • Engage clients in conversation and appropriate activities.
  • Provide emotional and social support.
  • Accompany clients on errands, walks, activities, or appointments when assigned.
  • Provide supervision and reassurance as needed.

Light Housekeeping & Household Support

  • Perform light housekeeping and general tidying.
  • Wash dishes and clean kitchen areas after use.
  • Assist with laundry and changing bed linens.
  • Prepare simple meals and snacks.
  • Take out household trash as needed.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe living environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Home Health Aide (HHA) training or applicable caregiving experience preferred.
  • Compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow the client’s plan of care and agency policies.
  • Dependable transportation to assigned client homes.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screening and onboarding.
