Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Home Care

BrightStar Care of Cedar Rapids is hiring compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide one-on-one care to seniors and adults in the comfort of their own homes throughout the Cedar Rapids metro area and surrounding communities.

Pay & Benefits

• $20.00/hour base pay

What You'll Do

As a CNA, you'll provide compassionate, one-on-one care in clients' homes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with personal hygiene and activities of daily living

• Taking and documenting vital signs

• Providing safe transfers and mobility assistance

• Providing catheter and ostomy care

• Providing medication reminders

• Preparing meals and monitoring nutrition

• Supporting clients with dementia and Alzheimer's disease

• Assisting with post-hospitalization and recovery

• Providing companionship and emotional support

• Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition to the supervising RN

• Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for clients

CNA Requirements

• Active CNA certification on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry

• Valid driver's license

• Reliable transportation

• Current auto insurance

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

• Previous home care, nursing home, hospital, or assisted living experience preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing quality patient care

We serve clients throughout Cedar Rapids, Marion, Hiawatha, Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Swisher, Ely, Mount Vernon, and surrounding communities. Service areas include: Benton, Black Hawk, Buchanan, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn, Scott and Washington Counties.
