Repair Technician

Pay: $17.75 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Overtime: Overtime as required

Requirements for the Repair Technician

High school diploma or GED preferred
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Basic math skills
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Ability to identify problems and make repairs as needed
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and reach throughout the workday
Previous manufacturing, fiberglass repair, automotive body repair, painting, or finishing experience is helpful but not required
Must be willing to work overtime as needed

Repair Technician Responsibilities

As a Repair Technician, you will inspect, repair, and finish fiberglass components to meet quality standards. Duties may include:

Inspecting hulls, decks, and completed products for defects or damage
Wiping, buffing, and preparing surfaces for repair
Sanding, polishing, and finishing repaired areas
Removing fiberglass defects using hand and power tools
Mixing and applying gel coat, catalyst, and other repair materials
Correcting paint defects and touch-up areas
Repairing cosmetic and structural imperfections
Repairing damage that occurs during manufacturing or assembly
Performing final inspections and detail work before products leave production
Following all safety and quality procedures
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Performing other duties as assigned

Work Environment

This Repair Technician position works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fiberglass dust, chemicals, solvents, power tools, and varying temperatures. Required personal protective equipment includes safety glasses, closed-toe shoes, chemical-resistant gloves, and any additional PPE required by the client.
