Ameritas is seeking a Reinsurance Analyst that supports the operational and analytical functions of the reinsurance team by leveraging data analysis, reporting, and process improvement capabilities to drive efficiency and business outcomes. This role is responsible for analyzing and retrieving data from multiple systems, developing queries and reports, identifying opportunities for operational enhancements, and supporting AI-driven efficiencies. The position serves as a key resource in reinsurance operations through data-driven insights while ensuring the accurate processing of reinsurance transactions and compliance with established procedures.
• This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Cincinnati, OH or Lincoln, NE)and partially from home.
- Retrieve and analyze data to support reinsurance operations, reporting, and business needs.
- Administer reinsurance transactions and related activities, including policy changes, new business, and other operational processes.
- Research and resolve reinsurance exceptions, discrepancies, and adjustment requests in accordance with established guidelines.
- Perform calculations, reconciliations, and data validation activities to support accurate reinsurance administration and reporting.
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute information, reports, and supporting materials for internal stakeholders.
- Execute operational processes in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and service expectations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and supporting materials in compliance with business and regulatory requirements.
- Support financial reporting activities through data preparation, analysis, and reconciliation activities.
- Support audit, compliance, and control-related activities by providing documentation, data, and operational support.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality, efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required
- Less than 2 years related experience required
- Experience using SQL or Snowflake preferred
- Experience using Excel preferred
- Experience analyzing data preferred
