Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT & X-Ray Technologist requiring active CT registration and ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certification for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Diagnostic imaging department performing CT and X-Ray examinations
- Weekend night shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- No call requirements
- 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience required
- ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Must hold active state license (license required if applicable)
- Must be currently registered in CT
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program with ARRT registry
- Ability to lift and move patients and maneuver equipment weighing 20 pounds or more
- Manual dexterity to operate imaging equipment
- Visual and hearing acuity required for patient monitoring and communication
Additional Information
- Perform CT and X-Ray examinations using proper technical factors and evaluate images for accurate exposure and positioning
- Schedule exams and instruct patients on exam preparation
- Set up and organize rooms for radiographic procedures
- Reports directly to the Imaging Services Manager
- Requires independent judgment and technical skill to produce diagnostic-quality radiography
- Must maintain patient confidentiality and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt to emergency situations and changing work conditions
- Role involves periods of stooping, standing, bending, and moderate lifting
