Workway is partnering with a growing national real estate services organization to identify an experienced National REO Closing Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for a title and escrow professional who thrives in a fast-paced, production-driven environment and has extensive experience preparing settlement packages, reviewing HUDs, and managing high-volume closing pipelines.
The ideal candidate is someone who can confidently take a file from contract through funding while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service.
What You'll Do
As the National REO Closing Specialist, you will coordinate residential REO transactions from contract through closing while working closely with title companies, lenders, attorneys, asset managers, and internal operations teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare complete settlement packages from start to finish, ensuring every file is accurate, complete, and ready for closing.
- Review, balance, and prepare HUD-1 Settlement Statements and other closing documents with exceptional attention to detail.
- Manage a high-volume pipeline of REO and residential closing files while consistently meeting strict deadlines and service level agreements.
- Review title commitments and work with title companies to clear title requirements and resolve closing issues.
- Coordinate with lenders, attorneys, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, and asset managers to facilitate timely closings.
- Verify funding figures and ensure all documentation is complete prior to disbursement.
- Resolve title defects, lien issues, recording discrepancies, and other obstacles that could delay closing.
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with investor guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while effectively managing multiple priorities.
Required Qualifications
This role requires someone who has experience with:
✔ Preparing complete Settlement Packages independently
✔ Preparing and reviewing HUD-1 Settlement Statements
✔ Managing a high-volume closing pipeline
✔ Coordinating real estate closings from contract through funding
✔ Reviewing title commitments and clearing title requirements
✔ Working with lenders, title companies, attorneys, and real estate professionals
✔ Resolving title and closing issues with minimal supervision
✔ Maintaining accuracy in a deadline-driven production environment
